Sometimes He Comes In The Clouds...

After reading a friend's blog the other day about how much she likes clouds, I decided to try and photograph some. I love clouds, too. When I look at the them, I am reminded of the glory and majesty of God. It's like I always tell Kate, each day brings a blank canvas, and I always look forward to what God is going to paint next. These aren't very good shots, but I still love the way they look. Hope you like them too!

Random conversation with Kate the other day:

Kate: Mom, what's an echo again?
Me: It's when sound is repeated,
like when you say something out loud
and it comes back to you
(isn't that so scientific and technical?)
Kate: Yeah, like when you yell up to the sky
and God puts His hand out and sends it back to you.
Me: Exactly.

Kate is loving the library. I took her back on Saturday to get another batch of books. I love the fact that she gets excited about our trips. As soon as we get in the car, she asks, "where is my library card?" She wanted to be prepared! How cute. This time we took a satchel with us to help carry out the books. Good thing...we got about 20 of them. I know that I am a geek because I had just as much fun as she did picking out books. There is something special about going to each shelf and perusing the titles. Am I right? Kate and I had an awesome time and we felt well-stocked for the upcoming trackout. Of course, after we got home, she read about 4 books that night. Yesterday, she read 4 more. So we are already down to 12 books. I guess we may have to make another trip sooner than I thought...

My eager little reader...I hope she learns to love reading as much as I do!

Last but certainly not least, today is my dad's 65th birthday. Happy Birthday, Dad! Yesterday, we had a surprise get together with him, my mom, my grandmother, both sisters & their families, and my aunt & uncle. We all met at Kemp's and then came back to my house for some cake, ice cream & fellowship! Here are some more pics from that night. It was so good to have everyone at my house...I truly feel blessed with the family God gave me. I love you all!

Granny Vise, Kelly, Carrie, Nancy & Mom smile for the camera!

Uncle David and Uncle Dale kicked back, watching (what else?) T.V.

I had to bribe these two to get them to smile for me.

Aaron and Dad kind of match with their blue striped shirts!

AV and I take one of our infamous "self-portraits". Not bad for doing it yourself, huh?

Jen,
I love your facelift!! It looks cool! When you have time I would like to take a look at the website you used!

P.S.--Just wanted to make sure you knew that Katelyn didn't just dance, she's a dancer and a fantastic one at that. Her body type fits perfectly with the "guidelines" and she's a natural. She's 6, and what 6 year old likes something 100% of the time? Give gymnastics a shot but don't give up on her dancing. It bugs me because no one realizes how good she is! Anyway...TTYL!
