Bad, Bad, Bad, Bad Boy!

Aaron is such a cutie to me. And this week, he should be ever so grateful that he's got that goin' for him. My 2-year old terror...um, toddler...was in true form. He has broken toys, spilled multiple drinks, and written on himself with markers on more than one occasion. Actually, none of these things are out of the ordinary for him. But this Tuesday, he really took his naughtiness to a new level. First, let's see the "after" pictures. You guess what is wrong here, okay?

Okay, maybe you noticed that he's eating off a pink girly plate. Yes, I guess that might not be quite right, but hey...sissy's plate was clean and available for use. You might also pick up on Aaron's lack of manners at the dinner table. He actually did manage to fit that entire bite in his mouth and chew it without choking. If I could manage to keep him in his chair for the entire dinner, I would be so very happy. BUT...I'm guessing that the FIRST thing you noticed was Aaron's hair. Don't worry (Mom), this is NOT his new look.
This is what you get when a certain naughty boy decides that he needs to wash his hair in the middle of Target, and pours about 1/10 of the shampoo bottle ALL OVER HIS HEAD. Now, there was an accessory to the crime: his sister did not close the lid tightly after opening it to smell the lovely mango scent. So...yes. I was trying to decide on a shade of eyeshadow, and I look over to see the shampoo freely flowing all over him. I think he looked more shocked than me. It must have felt weird, huh? He looked at me like, "um...a little help here".

So I did what every good and loving mother would do for her unfortunate child. I made him wear it for the rest of the day. Yessiree! No mother of the year awards here. I was so frustrated, that I wiped off the excess shampoo from his face, hands and clothes, and then twirled his front bangs around and around in my fingers until they stuck straight up. You will be happy to know that I gave him a bath that night, and it was super-easy. I just had to wet his hair and lather up! He must have poured more than I thought because I had to rinse for quite awhile to get all those bubbles out.

So there. My funny story for the week. Do you have a story to share that might make me feel better? Please let me hear from you.

I guess you got tired of waiting around for me to email you pics of Aaron's hair. I'm so sorry girl. Mom and I organized until around 2 yesterday and then I was about to pass out. But IF I had the baby today, I would feel SO MUCH BETTER about the condition of my house! Our baby room is almost painted (one coat down, one to go). It's so nice to feel like you are accomplishing something. I hope you have a relaxing weekend! TTYL!

This is SO funny! Only moms would really get this ... er, mommy moment to the fullest.

Way to stick to your guns and make him wear it all day.

I like your bath-time efficiency though!
