Fireworks on the Fourth...

...yeah, I know it's been awhile. And okay, so it's September. But I still need to blog about July 4th. It has become a "Fourth" family tradition to watch the fireworks at the NC State Fairgrounds. We have had the pleasure of going each year with another family in our neighborhood, The Williamsons. I'm pretty sure that I've talked about one particular member on my blog...Kelsey. She's such a sweet girl and fun to be around. Our family loves her!
So, with blankets, chairs, bug spray (did we remember it this year?), homemade ice cream, and brownies in hand (actually in the van), we headed out once again to enjoy some fellowship and the fireworks.

They really could pass for sisters, right?

Kate and her Daddy. Um...I don't think he got the message about wearing 'festive' attire!

The Williamsons were entertaining out-of-town guests that weekend, so they brought them along. The more the merrier! And look at my sweet little boy sporting his red American flag baseball cap. I could eat him up.

If you turned your head sideways, you could see the big smiley face!

This was supposed to be a flower. Do you see it?

I love the orange in this one.

I think these might be the ones that make some crazy noise!

Do you see my little girl in the pic? Look closely (or click to enlarge). I just thought this was cool because the light from the fireworks highlight her body, and I love the moon in the picture! Oh, and the fireworks are red, white and blue!

Happy Fourth everyone! (A little late, but it's the thought that counts?)
